Description

Filed in Software as a Service.

Create and manage one-time, timed announcements and tooltips in any web page, bound to any HTML element (scrolling included).

System administrator? Use this tool to manage site-wide announcements. Product manager? Engage the user base on new features by highlighting them with balloons. Documentation author? Create guided tours of your site features.

Example of guided tours: http://sindro.me/ - http://acinapura.com/ and http://adineinchianti.com/.

Hermes can be integrated in any web site, also in enterprisey and legacy or static ones, in which implementing an announcement system would be risky and costly.

Hermes is Open Source: http://github.com/railsrumble/r13-team-385

Finally, Hermes has a CSS bug that causes tooltips to not display correctly on Firefox. We developed it using WebKit, and we fell out short :-). Sorry!
